winter wonderland

Faux Fur Jacket, Sequin Tank & Skirt- Thrifted; Blazer, Booties & Clutch- Gifted; Faux Fur Earmuffs- Gap; Gloves- Walmart; Tights- Aldo; Ring- Easy Pickin's; Earrings & Necklace- Ursa from twiss & weber

For the most part, I prefer dressing for the warmer months- with strappy sandals, bare shoulders & floral prints.  However, seeing as I reside in the coldest capital city in the world (welcome to Ottawa, Canada, eh!), I am resigned to layering and bundling up for at least four months of the year.  To make winter wear fun (while at the same time warm), I love incorporating faux fur, coloured tights & sequins into my outfits.  For this holiday party ensemble, I decided to throw caution to the wind (or snow in this case), and combine all three for a look that screams winter wonderland!

Happy New Years- hope yours is festive & fashionable!

  4. Where have you been, young lady? Judging by these photos, you've been buried in a blizzard and haven't been able to dig yourself out to do a little blogging. :) You look amazing, as always, and I love how you put together a fashionable outfit despite the cold. Hope you're having a wonderful holiday season!

  6. You look like a snow queen! That jacket is fantastic and doesn't look at all like it came to a thrift store. Tell me, how many hot pink or leopard numbers did you need to pass over to get to it?...Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and wishing you a celebratory New Year's Eve Em!

One of my daily joys is reading the lovely comments you leave. It may take a day or two (or three, depending on how hectic life gets!) but I will stop by your slice of the blogosphere soon! xo Emily
